1970 Chevrolet Nova SS 454
This 1970 Chevrolet Nova SS has undergone a comprehensive rotisserie restoration and has been professionally upgraded with a high-performance 454 cubic-inch Big Block V8, delivering exceptional power while maintaining the iconic appearance of one of Chevrolet’s most respected muscle cars. Combining classic styling with proven performance upgrades, this Nova offers outstanding drivability and show-quality presentation.
The body was stripped and professionally refinished in high-gloss Red. During the restoration, all chrome and stainless trim were restored or replaced, while the exterior was completed with SS-style hood vents, blackout grille, SS badging, and 14-inch American Racing Torque Thrust wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich white-letter radial tires.
The interior has been restored in factory-style Red vinyl with front bucket seats, rear bench seat, new carpeting, headliner, center console, factory-style auxiliary gauges, Hurst floor shifter, rosewood steering wheel, tilt steering column, and AM/FM radio, providing both classic appearance and modern functionality.
Power is provided by a professionally built 454 cubic-inch Chevrolet Big Block V8 producing a dyno-tested 501 horsepower and 487 lb-ft of torque. The engine is equipped with a Weiand performance intake manifold, four-barrel carburetor, upgraded aluminum radiator, and dual exhaust system for improved cooling and performance.
The engine is paired with a four-speed manual transmission operated through a Hurst shifter. Power is transferred to a GM 12-bolt rear differential equipped with a TrueTrac limited-slip differential, 3.08:1 gearing, and heavy-duty 30-spline Moser axle shafts.
The vehicle features factory-style power steering and a power-assisted braking system with front disc brakes, rear drum brakes, and a dual master cylinder. The undercarriage has also been restored with factory-style detailing, providing the same level of presentation underneath as the exterior.
