This 1956 Ford F100 Big Back Window Pickup has been professionally rebuilt into a high-end custom truck, combining the iconic styling of Ford’s first-generation F-Series with modern performance, handling, and comfort. Featuring the rare Big Back Window cab, a powerful 427 FE Side Oiler V8, upgraded suspension, premium interior, and numerous custom enhancements, this F100 offers exceptional performance while preserving its classic design.
The body has been professionally refinished in a custom Metallic Root Beer paint and features subtle custom modifications, including shaved hood emblems, deleted cowl vent, relocated fuel filler, hidden tailgate latches, reverse-tilt hood, tucked chrome bumpers, smoked glass, and a hardwood bed floor with a concealed fuel filler access panel. The truck rides on polished 17-inch American Racing Salt Flat wheels, completing its timeless custom appearance.
The custom interior is finished in premium brown leather and includes a tilt-adjustable bench seat, matching door panels, custom headliner, new carpeting, hidden audio system, AutoMeter instrumentation, billet steering wheel, Ididit tilt steering column, power windows operated through factory-style window cranks, and a Vintage Air air conditioning system with billet controls for modern comfort.
Power is provided by a Ford 427 cubic-inch FE cross-bolted Side Oiler Big Block V8 equipped with a Pursuit aluminum intake manifold, Edelbrock 800 CFM carburetor, Mallory electronic ignition, and multi-rib serpentine belt system. Performance is enhanced by long-tube headers feeding a custom dual exhaust system with an X-pipe and Borla mufflers.
The engine is paired with a Ford C6 automatic transmission upgraded with a Stage 2 shift kit, delivering power through a Strange Ford 9-inch rear differential. The chassis has been extensively modernized with a Fatman Fabrications independent front suspension featuring adjustable coil-over shock absorbers, rack-and-pinion power steering, front sway bar, QA1 four-link rear suspension with adjustable coil-overs, and a power-assisted braking system utilizing Wilwood front disc brakes, rear drum brakes, and a dual master cylinder.
