This 1956 Chevrolet 3100 Short Bed Pickup has been professionally transformed into a high-performance custom restomod, combining timeless classic styling with modern engineering and exceptional V8 performance. Finished in an elegant Black-on-Black color combination, this pickup features a supercharged 327 cubic-inch Chevrolet V8, upgraded suspension, modern instrumentation, and numerous custom refinements throughout.
The body has been professionally refinished in Gloss Black and features subtle custom body modifications including shaved drip rails, shaved hood and fender emblems, one-piece side glass, deleted rear bumper with custom roll pan, integrated taillights, hidden fuel filler, custom tailgate, and a lowered stance. Exterior appointments include a chrome grille, chrome front bumper, chrome mirrors, crystal-style headlights, clear front indicators, and 20-inch American Racing Torque Thrust wheels. The cargo bed is finished with a black timber floor and polished stainless bed strips.
The interior has been completely customized with Black leather upholstery, matching custom door panels, kick panels, headliner insert, new carpeting, billet pedals, Dakota Digital instrumentation, chrome tilt steering column, billet steering wheel, column-mounted automatic shifter, power windows, hidden premium audio system, and modern convenience features while maintaining a clean factory-inspired appearance.
Power is supplied by a professionally built 327 cubic-inch Chevrolet V8 equipped with Dart SHP aluminum cylinder heads, Weiand supercharger, Weiand intake manifold, Holley carburetor, Comp Cams roller rockers, Lunati hydraulic camshaft, forged internal components, polished aluminum radiator, electric cooling fan, and ceramic-coated Hooker long-tube headers feeding a custom dual exhaust system.
The engine is paired with a Turbo 350 automatic transmission equipped with a 2,500 RPM stall torque converter. Power is delivered through a rebuilt GM 10-bolt rear differential.
The chassis has been upgraded with a second-generation Camaro independent front suspension, lowered springs, lowered rear leaf springs, relocated alloy fuel tank, powder-coated chassis components, power steering, and a power-assisted braking system featuring front disc brakes, rear drum brakes, and a dual master cylinder. Additional upgrades include relocated battery, hidden wiring, electric windshield wipers, battery isolation switch, and upgraded electrical components.
