1956 Chevrolet Corvette C1 Convertible
This 1956 Chevrolet Corvette C1 is a professionally restored first-generation American sports car finished to factory specifications while retaining its original drivetrain and highly desirable factory options. Featuring the correct 265 cubic-inch V8 engine, three-speed manual transmission, dual-quad carburetors, removable hardtop, and folding soft top, this Corvette represents one of the most collectible early C1 models.
The body has undergone a comprehensive ground-up restoration and is finished in the factory-correct Venetian Red with contrasting White coves. All exterior chrome and brightwork have been restored or replaced, preserving the iconic appearance of the first-generation Corvette. The vehicle is equipped with both a color-matched removable hardtop and a restored black folding soft top. Completing the factory appearance are 15-inch steel wheels with original-style hubcaps and wide whitewall radial tires. The signature dual exhaust exits through the rear bumperettes, maintaining the classic Corvette styling.
The interior has been restored to factory specifications with red carpeting, factory-style red waffle-pattern vinyl bucket seats, a two-tone painted dashboard, original-style steering wheel, factory manual floor shifter, Wonder Bar radio, and the optional brake warning light mounted above the steering column.
Power is provided by the factory-correct 265 cubic-inch Chevrolet V8 engine equipped with dual four-barrel carburetors. The engine is paired with the original three-speed manual transmission, delivering power to the factory rear axle through a traditional rear-wheel-drive layout.
The chassis has been restored to factory specifications and features an independent front suspension with coil springs, a solid rear axle with leaf springs, factory drum brakes on all four wheels, and a dual exhaust system exiting through the rear bumperettes.
